Cattle Reporting System

A new PF index formula has been introduced from the August evaluation.
The new index has four digits, which makes it easier to tell animals apart in the rankings. It is composed of five sub-indices:

• Production (milk yield and composition) – 30%,
• Health (resistance and longevity) – 25%,
• Fertility (reproductive efficiency) – 20%,
• Udder and legs (correct udder and leg conformation) – 15%,
• Functionality (calving and milking ability) – 10%.

The index and its sub-indices also have an estimated repeatability of the result.
